In today’s oversaturated market, how do you keep your customer’s attention? Simplicity is key! When talking about marketing keeping it simple is one of the most effective ways to stand out against your competitors. If the consumer can easily gather and understand information they need to make a decision, the more likely they are to engage with your company in the future. Don’t overload and overwhelm the customer. Here are a few ways according to Harvard Business Review on how you can keep it simple for your customers:

  • With decision simplicity being a top reason driving customer’s purchasing decisions, it’s important to help the consumer gather reliable product information easily. This will give them the desire to choose your products over competitors.
  • Reduce the number of clicks a consumer has to go through to get the information needed. Don’t make searching your website a deterrent. Analyzing search terms to better understand the most important information, and utilize it to build effective paths.
  • Describe differentiating features and benefits to help the consumer weigh their options. If there are too many product options, you should have a tool to better assist the consumer in finding the right one for them. Find a way to allow your consumers to identify the features most important to them.
